Chelsea Valentine

On-Air: Weekdays 10am – 2pm

Chelsea Valentine is a cowgirl who knows that a good life, much like a good playlist, needs a little bit of everything. Before she was your voice on 104.3 Cities FM, Chelsea was navigating the high-pressure world of breaking news, anchoring and reporting from Washington D.C. and Seattle back to her Midwest roots. She’s seen the “tough stuff” firsthand—surviving cancer, fighting for justice for crime victims in rural communities, and coordinating ministries. Life can be tough, but those trials only fueled her mission to spread as much joy as humanly possible.

In 2020, Chelsea decided to trade the police scanners for the recording studio. While she spent years telling the “hard” stories, she realized her true calling was sharing the ones we all have in common—the stories found in the lyrics of a great song. She traded breaking news for artist interviews (ask her about meeting Jelly Roll!), bringing her reporter’s heart to the stars who make the music we love.

And when we say “all the music,” we mean it. Chelsea is a total vocal chameleon. She’s performed everything from classical opera to the pop anthems of her youth. She proudly wore out her Spice Girls, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera CDs (yes, CDs—and she’s proud of it!), but she’s just as likely to be found cruising through every decade of hits from the 1950s to today. If it’s got a beat and a soul, she’s in.
Chelsea is humbled to be part of your day on Cities FM, hoping to help you escape the burdens of life with a lot of hope, a ton of laughter, and the best music ever recorded.

Brian Michaels

On-Air: Weekdays 3pm – 7pm

Why Broadcasting? I enjoyed it right away, very little heavy lifting…except when there is.

Most Memorable Broadcasting Moment: A charity broadcast for the victims of the ’97 flood.

Personal Motto:  Don’t run with scissors, that has served me well.

If I Were a Superhero, My Superpower Would be: The superpower which would never get old is…flight.

Ride or Die Album: Guns & Roses “Appetite for Destruction”

Song You Can Hear Me Singing in the Shower: It’s whatever is stuck in my head, which changes daily.
